Hey all!

I am currently working on a lip sync right now for the 11 Second Club November Challenge. Just working out some bugs with XSI. As of right now it will not let me do a quick screen capture to test my animation. If you have any suggestions for me I'd really appreciate it! I'm running XSI on a Mac that also runs as a PC.

So I've been wanting to get back into the habit of animating so I don't get rusty. After visitng the 11 Second Club site I found an audio clip that had a lot of potential for animation. Here's a rough version. I'm still polishing the movement of the body and the facial expressions before moving onto the mouth and rest of the face.

Being an animator is great! You get to go out an fun adventures to make your film better. Like going to play on the monkeybars to see how your body swings when trying to reach for an invisible bag.

And then head back to the computer to take my real life actions and translate them into my 3D character........

My Animated Short "Mission Improbable" 3D Layout

Here is my 3D layout which I completed last quarter. It tells the tale of a poor unsuspecting thief who sets out on a mission to escape with his loot bag. There is no full animation yet. This is my task for this quarter......to create a memorable demo reel of my short.

So without further delay, here it is.............MISSION IMPROBABLE!!

It’s the key to my passions, my hopes and dreams, and my imagination.
From the very beginning, creating memorable art was exciting and gave me a sense of accomplishment, and has pushed me to where I am today.

My first animation assignment from The Centre for Arts and Technology. For this assignment I drew the fox character two times and passed one of them to my left. I recieved the lava lamp from my right. I then had to morph my fox into that lava lamp.

Our main assignment was to recreate a scene from a Pixar film and try to duplicate the technicques used to get a similar look. I choose to model, texture and light Flo's V8 Cafe from the film Cars.

Character Design: Logan

In Character Design 300 we were to create a hero. I have been a fan of director Tim Burton since I was a child. His style is always something that appealed to me, and it is sometimes reflected in my drawings. I really like how Logan turned out. I think Burton would be proud!

The Dark Knight

After recieving a great response to my Joker drawing, I got a request for a portrait of the Dark Knight himself. Like the Joker, this drawing was completed with a 2B, 4B, and 6B pencil. I'm very happy with how the detail in the suit and face turned out.

Heath Ledger's Joker

Menacing, droll, and diabolical, Heath Ledger as the Joker in the Dark Knight left me in a state of awe. What he brought to the character was like nothing I had ever seen, and it inspired me to create a drawing that would capture the essence of what he accomplished with the Joker. So, to achieve this my main focus, as with most of my portraits, were his eyes.
